Freetricity, who I’ll be honest I’ve not come across before, are claiming to save money on your bills, lower your carbon footprint, and increase your property’s value. Marvellous. All that aside, they are offering ‘fully automated biomass boiler installations for free’ for businesses. Basically, they collect the Renewable Heat Incentive payment from the Government in order to pay for the work. I’m not saying it’s the best deal ever (which it may or may not be), but if you’re strapped for upfront capital, it might be able to help you out, and will at least reduce your immediate carbon footprint, although as with all such investment systems, make sure you’re entirely happy with how it works before you get involved.
