WRAP - the Waste & Recycling Action Programme will be having their annual conference this year on 7th November in London.

Unfortunately, all booked places have now gone, but you can still register for their standby places...

You can see the event details here...

Thanks Ruth. Space is VERY limited so would need to be something a lot smaller - maybe a bin system or similar!

Hi Harry, hope you're having a lovely morning. I don't know if these might be up your street. I've seen an office, from the roof of the Piccadillly theatre(!), where they had taken some normal kitchen cupboards, at one end of their office, and by making large holes in the work surface above each cupboard they had created bins for paper, metal and plastic, putting the appropriate symbol on each cupboard door. That could encourage recycling whilst making the tea?!

As for attractive public area bins, I've seen this one, it's not very big, or very cheap, but it certainly seems to get people talking, and therefore possibly recycling ( kids seem to like calling it Eva after the robot in Wall-E) - http://www.ecocentric.co.uk/acatalog/eco_centric_ovetto_recycling_b...

Anyone else got any ideas?

Ugo Vallauri and Janet Gunter are the co-founders of The Restart Project, which aims to stop people throwing away broken gadgets and other electrical items and, instead, get them fixed by taking them along to a Restart party.

Great piece on BBC News about the Restart project - this should be second nature.....

As we recycle all manner of items now companies are starting to tackle the more unusual things in our everyday life. GlaxoSmithKline have announced an asthma inhaler recycling scheme at participating pharmacies. Although the actual recycling scheme includes burning of some inhaler components to provide energy, the scheme is part of their usual round of deliveries and so contributes no extra miles from their vans; you win some you lose some. This link to their website will give you details of how to participate - http://www.gsk.com/uk/consumers/complete-the-cycle/complete-the-cyc...
