A new kind of supermarket, which aims to sell ethical, local and kinder produce to people who wouldn't normally shop with such focuses in mind. Called 'HiSbe' (How it Should be) they hope to be opening soon in Brighton to bring ethical shopping more in line with mainstream shopping - http://www.hisbe.co.uk/

Full Frontal Gardens are fab organisation in the Medway Towns that 'green' streets by cleaning up and planting front gardens and streetscapes. Among many schemes, you can see their handiwork on Rochester High Street. Anyone can start a group - a street, a group of businesses or a posses of people. You can see more at www.fullfrontal.org.uk (type carefully!)
