The course, with Andrew Killian, aims to enable a potential DSM or show caller - one without musical knowledge - to cue from musical scores.
Level 1 Monday 12th May 2014 9.30 - 5pm
Level 2 Monday 19th May 2014 9.30 - 5pm
The L1 course examines the basic elements of musical notation and how singers, as opposed to actors, impact on the role of the DSM/show caller.
We undertake cueing exercise numerous and complex enough to instil confidence. Session ends with a refresher test.
L2 builds on L1 with more practical exercises, useful tips and confidence-building advanced and operatic scores. L2 includes simulating a music test at opera company level.
Refreshments, materials and completion certificate included.
