White Light Gears Up For PLASA Focus Leeds

Entertainment lighting specialist White Light returns to the Royal Armouries in Leeds this month for the annual PLASA Focus exhibition April 29-30. On stand N-C24 in New Dock Hall, visitors will find the latest lighting and effects solutions including White Light exclusive products from manufacturers Altman Lighting, ArKaos Pro, Chromlech, CORE Lighting, Interactive Technologies, Look Solutions, LSC Lighting and Wireless Solution. White Light’s display of products will focus on TV lighting, LED lighting, show control systems, and special effects equipment.

Win an iPad Air with White Light and Wireless Solution

White Light staff will be on hand throughout the show to answer questions and offer advice about hire, sales, installation, and service for your production, tour, or venue. Visitors will also want to stop by the White Light stand to enter to win a new iPad Air courtesy of Wireless Solution – makers of W-DMX™ product line. W-DMX makes large, creative, or technically complex installations possible through the wireless distribution of lighting control signals. Guests can enter to win throughout the exhibition with the prize draw taking place on the White Light stand (N-C24) on April 30th.

Film & TV Lighting

“For the first time at PLASA Focus, White Light will be showcasing products from lighting manufacturer Photon Beard, which specialises in lighting for film and television. Making its UK debut will be their new PhotonBeam 80LED – an 80W LED source in a traditional Redhead housing. Also displayed will be the company’s popular fluorescent soft light – the Square One, as well as the tungsten PhotonBeam 800 Redhead.”

High-Quality Optics & Energy Efficient LEDs

Also on the White Light stand, visitors will find the latest in LED lighting technology from US manufacturer Altman Lighting, including the new 150w Phoenix LED profile. The new fixture will offer lower power consumption and a fan-less convection cooling system for drastically reduced noise – perfect for sound sensitive applications such as television studios and small venues. The 150w Phoenix will share the same high quality optics and functional features that earned its compliment, the 250w Phoenix LED, the PLASA Members Choice Award for 2013. Both profiles will be on display at the White Light stand along with the SpectraCyc 100, Altman’s popular LED cyclorama fixture. Altman Lighting LED fixtures are available with standard LED options of RGBW, RGBA, 3000k, and 6000k or can be customised based on specification.

White Light will also showcase low-energy lighting products from CORE Lighting, which specialises in completely wireless LED lighting ideal for event production, exhibitions, and architectural applications. The latest from CORE Lighting is the ColourPoint uplighter, a lightweight battery operated LED fixture designed to deliver bright, colourful event lighting that is quick and easy to setup. Joining the Colourpoint will be CORE’s high-output LED uplighter the Point30, available in RGBW and tuneable white.

For moving effects, guests are invited to see the new Sparx7 Zoom LED moving head fixture from JB Lighting (right). With 19 multi-chip RGBW LEDs and a zoom range of 4-40 degrees - the Sparx7 is sure to suit a wide spectrum of applications and venues. Completing the JB Lighting product range will be the A8 and A12 moving head wash units.

The Elidy, Chromlech’s unique sculptural LED panel, will also be on display to visitors. The unit combines high-output warm-white LEDs with custom optics that generate extremely narrow beams of light, giving a directional output that far exceeds the intensity of standard LED screens.

Comprehensive Show Control & Special FX

For easy to use, comprehensive show control, look no further than Interactive Technologies. On display will be the Scenestation button control CueServer system: the most comprehensive combination of stand-alone show playback, architectural features, show control and web-based integration in a single, easy-to-use package.

Wireless Solution products will also be on display including the G4 Blackbox and G4 Whitebox transceivers for indoor and outdoor control utilising Wireless Solution’s exclusive W-DMX technology.

In addition to the lighting equipment on the White Light stand, visitors will also find eye catching effects and audiovisual systems from Look Solutions and ArKaos Pro. Look Solutions Unique 2.1 hazer and Tiny FX fogger from Look Solutions. Show visitors will also be treated to video effects from Arkaos, utilising the Arkaos Stage Server media server and Media Master Pro software.
